How often should I clean my chimney?

It is generally recommended to have your chimney cleaned once a year to ensure that your heating system is operating safely and efficiently. However, the exact frequency of cleaning may vary depending on the fuel used, the intensity of the system, and the age of the chimney. If your chimney is heavily used or is older, more regular cleaning – for example, once every two years – may be necessary to prevent buildup and ensure optimal system performance. Our specialists will provide individual recommendations based on the specifics of your system and the conditions of use.

My Story
Back in the summer of 1999, when he graduated from kindergarten, Rudolf confidently announced that he would be a chimney sweep when he grew up. Other children wanted to be firefighters and football players, but Rudolf wanted to walk on roofs and not have anyone tease him about it.

Years passed, and Rudolf had already come up with various other plans while he was in school. After school, he also did many things, worked a lot of jobs and odd jobs. However, Rudolf did not feel like he fit in at any job. One job is boring, one has a lot of unnecessary tension, one is forced to do too much, and one has nothing to do at all. Rudolf nevertheless decided to walk on roofs, even if it would pay little for it.

Rudolf called all the chimney sweeps in Latvia and begged them to take him on as an apprentice – one of them did. It did not take long for Rudolf to return home with new skills and knowledge. With his last savings, he bought brushes and a vacuum cleaner, stuck advertisements on electricity poles and in 2020 began his solo career in Limbaži. He went on trips in his family van, later in a rusty hearse and now with a suitable work van. In the fall and spring, Rudolf ate soot, but in the winter and summer, he ate Rolltons and whatever grew in the garden.

For several years now, Rudolf has been serving local government institutions, building managers and various other companies and homeowners. Fortunately, many call a second time. Apparently, they work cleanly and you can see from the outside that they are trying to do their job responsibly.
