Australian fast bowler Darcie Brown will not participate in the third and last T20I match against New Zealand at Wellington. For family reasons, she had to depart the tour and fly home. Join Bpexch for more sports news.
Darcie Brown’s Fantastic Performance
In the first two series games, Brown performed brilliantly. She picked 1 wicket for 22 runs in four overs in the opening game in Auckland.
She bowled even better in the second game in Mount Maunganui, taking 2 wickets for 23 runs in four overs. Her excellent bowling helped Australia win both games, securing a 2-0 lead before the final match.
No Replacement for Darcie Brown
Cricket Australia confirmed that no new player would be included in the team since Brown left. Fast bowler Megan Schutt, who was rested in the second match, might return for the final game.
Other Changes in the Australian Team
A broken finger has already cost Australia another important player, vice-captain Ashleigh Gardner. She was injured while attempting to catch the ball in the first match in Auckland.
Before the second game in Mount Maunganui, Queensland off-spinning allrounder Charli Knott joined the squad to provide support. However, she has not yet played an international match.
Australia Prepares for the Final Match
Even though Darcie Brown and Ashleigh Gardner are absent, the Australian squad is ready for the last T20I. Fans will miss Brown’s fast bowling, but they hope she will return soon after taking care of her family.
Cricket is not just about playing—it’s also about looking after loved ones. Everyone wishes Darcie Brown and her family the best, and fans look forward to seeing her on the field again!
