According to Rahul Dravid, Rohit Sharma has hit so many sixes that there was no other option than naming a stand after him. Rahul Dravid believes that young Rohit Sharma would have loved to play at the Wankhede Stadium and perform brilliantly. Rahul Dravid congratulated Indian ODI team captain Rohit Sharma for his achievement.
Rahul Dravid said in a video message, ‘Rohit Sharma, it seems that you have hit so many sixes towards the stands that it was necessary to name one after you. But congratulations to you. I am sure that as a young boy you must have dreamed of playing in a prestigious stadium like Wankhede. But did you ever think that one day a stand of this stadium would be named after you? This is the true reward for your contribution to Mumbai and Indian cricket.’
